Afrobeats artiste Raheem Okoya, better known as Siraheem and son of billionaire businessman Rasaq Okoya, has announced his exit from active music production.

The singer disclosed this on Wednesday through a statement posted on his official Instagram page, explaining that the demands of his music career had become difficult to combine with his other commitments.

Siraheem said music began as a hobby he shared with friends but gradually developed into a professional career that exposed him to memorable experiences, including performances at major events and recognition from artistes he had admired while growing up.

He said the decision to stop releasing new music followed a period of reflection over his ability to give the craft the time and commitment it required.

“Over the past year, holding that alongside my other commitments has grown harder. I’ve always believed in giving everything my best and I no longer feel I can give this craft the effort, patience, and dedication it truly deserves,” he said.

The artiste said he considered it necessary to formally close the current phase of his career rather than continue without being able to meet his own standards.

“So I owe it to my true fans, and to my colleagues in this industry a professional exit, I have decided to stop putting out new music,” he added.

Despite stepping away from new releases, Siraheem said his creativity remained active and disclosed plans to explore other areas.

He described the decision as a transition rather than an end to his creative journey, saying he intended to return with new ventures after diversifying into other fields.

“To my fans, the ‘Siraheem music’ era may be closing, but the creative in me is still hungry for new challenges, still reaching. The future stays positive,” he said.

The singer also suggested that previously recorded material could eventually be released, noting that music continues to have therapeutic value for him.

“Music still remains therapeutic for me. With time, maybe the album finds its way into the world somehow after all,” he said.

Siraheem began his professional music journey around 2022 and released songs including Bad Bitch Syndrome, Kowope, SOWETO and TRU$T FUND.

His eight-track debut project, By The Order Of The City, was released on May 1, 2026.

While announcing his departure, the singer did not completely shut the door on a possible return to music.

“Who knows what the future still holds. Never say never,” he said, while appreciating his fans and collaborators, Mr Fantasy and Mr Miyagi, for their support throughout his career.
