Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei are among technology executives expected to meet US President Donald Trump at a luncheon on Tuesday.
House Speaker Mike Johnson is also expected to attend the meeting, according to multiple people familiar with the plans who spoke on condition of anonymity because the details have not been made public.
Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed that he would attend, while Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is also expected to be present, according to MS Now.
OpenAI President Greg Brockman will also attend the luncheon, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other administration officials are hosting an all-day event on Tuesday to unveil a new website providing federal information and resources.
The event will feature panel discussions covering artificial intelligence, energy, space and other areas.
Anthropic co-founder and Chief Compute Officer Tom Brown is also expected to attend the event, according to a person familiar with the plans.
The meeting comes days after several prominent technology executives attended a White House state dinner held for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Those who attended included Apple CEO Tim Cook, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Advanced Micro Devices CEO Lisa Su.
Amodei was notably absent from the state dinner but met Trump privately over dinner on Sunday. It was reportedly the first one-on-one meeting between the Anthropic chief and the president.
Tuesday’s gathering comes as tensions continue over the regulation and safety of advanced artificial intelligence systems.
The debate intensified after a former Anthropic researcher accused leading AI companies of taking excessive risks in developing increasingly powerful systems.
Amodei has previously called on AI companies to “pace the frontier” in developing advanced models, while OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Musk have expressed support for calls for greater caution in the sector.
Trump, however, has publicly dismissed concerns about AI as a “hoax” and a “scam,” putting him at odds with some technology leaders over the pace and regulation of AI development.
