Nigerian comedian and actor Julius Agwu has revealed that he experienced sexual dysfunction after undergoing brain surgery in the United States in 2015.

Agwu made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show uploaded on Saturday, while discussing the effects of his health ordeal on his body, career and personal life.

During the programme, the host asked whether his brain condition or the surgery had affected other parts of his body, including his sexual function.

Responding, Agwu said, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Other guests on the programme discussed the possible connection between the nerves involved in the procedure and the brain, appearing to suggest that nerve damage could have contributed to the effect described by Agwu.

Agwu underwent brain surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumours in his brain, with one said to be about the size of a golf ball.

The comedian has previously spoken about his health battle and its impact on his life and career.

During the latest programme, he also reflected on his contribution to Nigerian comedy, particularly his role in developing music comedy.

“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.

Agwu later became emotional while recounting his career and speaking about what he described as abandonment by some of his friends.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he said.

Agwu remains known for combining music and comedy in his performances, as well as his appearances in Nollywood productions.
