Manchester United slumped to 18th position in the Premier League table after a 4-4 draw with Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United finished the evening in the Premier League relegation zone, sitting 18th after 10 games.
It’s their lowest position at this stage of a top-flight campaign since 1986-87, when they were 20th.
United have now gone eight league games without a win, matching a run they have endured only once before in the Premier League, in April and May 2025.
