‘A time to heal’: Davido returns to social media, announces album title

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, well known as Davido, on Tuesday, returned to social media, announcing the title and release date of his album.

Davido, who recently deleted the majority of his posts on Instagram including his profile picture, disclosed that his fourth album titled, ‘Timeless’, will be released on March 31, 2023.

The DMW boss, in a video shared on his social media accounts on Tuesday, said there is “a time to Grieve and a time to Heal”.

The famous singer, who lost his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in October 2022, equally expressed his appreciation to his fans for their love.

He wrote: “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal.

“A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak & A time for Silence.

“Thank you to everyone out there for your love and that has held me down.

“My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st. Preorder in bio💚

“All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all.

“Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new.”

Davido, in December 2022, hinted that he would return to social media in March 2023.

The DMW boss was last seen in public during his performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The award-winning singer had remained in solitude on social media after the death of his three-year-old son.

He, however, shared pictures of himself, his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, and members of his crew ahead of his performance at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup on December 18, 2022, on his social media accounts.

Davido later performed at the World Cup final singing the official soundtrack for the tournament.
