The African Action Congress (AAC) has asked President Bola Tinubu to allow it to inaugurate its presidential campaign council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, while requesting feeding and logistical support for 5,000 participants.
The party made the requests in a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena.
The AAC proposed November 11, 2026, for the inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council for its presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
In the letter, the party said its request was rooted in the principles of multi-party democracy, political inclusiveness and equal treatment of political parties.
It cited similar arrangements reportedly extended to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), arguing that public institutions should provide equal access without partisan discrimination.
The party also requested food, drinks and logistical support for 5,000 participants expected to attend the event, including supporters from within and outside Nigeria.
The AAC challenged the Tinubu administration to demonstrate its commitment to fairness by considering its requests, insisting that public institutions should serve all Nigerians regardless of political affiliation.
The requests are yet to be confirmed as approved by the Presidency.
