The Abia State Government has announced plans to host an international investment summit in partnership with Turkey to promote made-in-Nigeria products and attract foreign investment to the state.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership, Green Amakwe, said the event—Abia-Turkey Investment Summit and Product Exhibition—will be held from November 25 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia. The theme of the summit is “Bridging Continents, Unlocking Prosperity.”
Amakwe disclosed that the state government, through the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VEGA Growing Global Enterprise, formalizing its commitment to the success of the summit.
He explained that the event will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, and industrialists from Turkey and other European countries to explore business opportunities in Abia State.
According to him, the administration of Governor Alex Otti remains dedicated to creating a favourable investment climate that encourages industrial growth and international collaboration.
“We are working closely with our partners to ensure a successful summit that will showcase Abia’s vast potential as a preferred investment destination,” Amakwe said.
