The management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, has scheduled the resumption of academic activities for Monday, October 24.
The university’s Director of Public Affairs, Auwal Umar, made the disclosure via a statement issued on Wednesday.
Umar stated that the resumption followed the suspension of the eight months strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

He noted that the ABU Senate approved the resumption date at its 516th meeting, adding that it also approved the university’s revised academic calendar for the 2021/2022 session.
The ABU spokesperson said the calendar earlier approved by the university Senate at its 513th meeting held on November 25, 2021, had to be revised due to the strike which was called off last week.
