The members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress are currently meeting with the leadership of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
The NWC members, led by the APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, are meeting with the campaign council leaders at the party’s National Secretariat in the nation’s capital.
This was disclosed via a tweet on the party’s Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Although the details of the meeting could not be immediately ascertained, it was gathered that it may not be unconnected with the controversy trailing the composition of the APC Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2023 general election.

“Led by the APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, members of the National Working Committee are currently meeting with the Progressive Governors’ Forum accompanied by leadership of the Presidential Campaign Council at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja,” the party tweeted.
Those in attendance at the meeting include former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole; Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), and Sani Bello (Niger).
It would be recalled that Adamu, in a purported letter addressed to the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, accused the former governor of Lagos State of breaching the agreement on the composition of the party’s campaign council.
The APC chairman had said the 422-member list did not only come as a complete surprise to the NWC and the party’s leadership, but also contravened the principles and purposes of the arrangements both of them had.
The letter was later denied by the party, saying it was not written by Adamu.
