Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of trying to mislead Nigerians with outdated political gimmicks.
Speaking during an interview on Sunday Politics on Channels Television, Keyamo, a former EFCC prosecutor, likened the ADC’s strategies to recycled “419-style tactics” that, according to him, no longer fool a more informed electorate.
“These tactics are expired,” he said.
“Reeling out figures, isolating data, and using them to generalize are old tricks. Nigerians are wiser now.”
Keyamo maintained that despite persistent inflation, key macroeconomic indicators under President Bola Tinubu’s administration are improving.
“The naira is stable, foreign reserves are rising, and government revenues are up,” he noted.
“These are signs of a recovering economy, and the benefits will soon reach ordinary Nigerians.”
He also reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s dominance, claiming it retains a demographic edge and strong nationwide structures, unlike the ADC, which he described as a “confused coalition with no real alternative.”
