Adeboye bags honorary degree from U.S. varsity

The Oral Roberts University in the United States has conferred the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, with an honorary doctorate degree.

Adeboye received the degree at the fourth day of the RCCG 2022 Holy Ghost Congress held at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State on Thursday night.

The revered cleric stated that he had wanted to dodge the honour but the president of the university, Dr William Wilson, came to the RCCG Camp.

He, however, thanked the university for the honorary degree, saying: “I want to thank Oral Roberts University for this honour and will like the institution to know that it has been received with all our hearts and we are extremely grateful.

“I made a little research and found that the number of people with more than three honorary degrees in the world are very few and I already got seven and I felt it was more than enough.

“But when I heard that Oral Roberts University, The greatest and best Pentecostal University in the World, was going to give me an offer, I tried to dodge by saying I could not come but the President decided to come by himself. Thank you very much and God bless you,” Pastor Adeboye said.
