Adultery scandal: No one can condemn me, says Sammie Okposo

Popular gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo, has said that no one can condemn him as he has made peace with God through Jesus Christ.

The embattled singer stated that he wasn’t controlled by the flesh but by the Spirit of God that lives in him.

Sammie Okposo, fondly called Wellu Wellu master, made this known in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

The gospel singer’s statement is coming barely a week after he confessed and publicly apologized for cheating on his wife, Ozioma, with a United States-based lady.

However, the embattled singer, who took to his Instagram account on Wednesday, said no one can separate him from the love of God, noting that he is justified by faith.

He wrote: “There is no condemnation for me. I am in Christ Jesus. I am controlled not by the flesh but by the spirit of God that lives in me.

“The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. No one can condemn me because Christ who died and was raised to life is at the right hand of God interceding for me. Nothing and no one can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ. I am justified by faith. I have peace with God through Jesus Christ.

“I, therefore, walk in the spirit and I will not fulfil the lust of the flesh. The grace of God that brings salvation is available, sufficient and working for me.”

It would be recalled that a lady, identified as African Doll, had disclosed that she was pregnant for Sammie Okposo, adding that the gospel singer asked her to terminate it.

The singer thereafter publicly apologised to his wife and family for having an affair with a US-based lady.

Sammie Okposo’s apology, however, received wide condemnations for cheating outside his marriage as a man of God.

His name was later removed from the list of artistes to participate at the music concert organised by the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja last Friday following the adultery scandal.
