After denials, Nollywood’s Lateef Adedimeji, Bimpe Oyebade set to wed

Popular Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji, and his colleague in the movie industry, 24-year-old Bimpe Oyebade, are set to tie the knot next month in Lagos.

For many years, Lateef and Bimpe have debunked any romantic relationship between them, stating that they are simply professional colleagues.

Lateef, the 35-year-old actor, who hails from Ogun State, started his acting career in 2007, after his graduation from the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).

The Yoruba film stars took to their individual Instagram stories on Monday to share wishes from fans and family members, who are aware of the news after their pre-wedding activities and invitation card recently circulated on social media platforms.

The wedding ceremony would hold in Lagos on December 22.

The invitation card reads: “The families of Prince and Mrs Adeleke Oyebade and Alhaji & Alhaja Nurudeen Adedimeji cordially invite the pleasure of — to their children wedding ceremony. Oyebade Adebimpe Oluwafunbi and Adedimeji Adetola Abdullateef. Date: 22nd December, 2021.”

Bimpe Oyebade in an interview with BroadwayTV, had earlier said she cannot date her colleague because he is not her type of man.

She said: ”I am not in a relationship with Lateef Adedimeji but we are friends. I won’t deny the fact that we are friends, we are close friends. We are not in a relationship; we are both in different relationships.

“When you are too close to the opposite sex, it’s a problem. People think you are dating. Lateef is only the one that is close to me, I am not the kind that makes a lot of friends when it comes to the industry. I won’t want to be with someone I see as a family. Nothing can ever happen between us because I cannot marry someone in the spotlight.

“I would say no to Lateef if he asks me out because he is my friend and I already see him as a brother. He is not my type.”
