The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered an additional sum of N1.4 billion for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
This was disclosed via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Tuesday by the EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren.
Uwujaren noted that the money which was released to the NHIS on August 5, 2022, was part of the funds some commercial banks fraudulently refused to transmit to the Treasury Single Account (TSA) since 2015.
It would be recalled that the EFCC, on February 10, 2022, released N1.5 billion to NHIS.
