Air Peace Limited, on Monday, November 4, 2024, said its 12:50 p.m. flight from Benin to Abuja made a return to the Edo State capital over a technical snag the aircraft encountered shortly after takeoff.
Air Peace said this in a statement issued by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Ejike Nduilo.
Nduilo stated that the return to base was a necessary safety measure.
He noted that the aircraft landed in Benin and passengers disembarked normally.

He said: “Our maintenance team are currently troubleshooting the cause of the snag.
“We are deploying replacement aircraft to Benin for us to minimise the disruptions and ensure passengers continue their journeys as soon as possible.
“We appeal for understanding of the passengers affected and others whose flights will be delayed as a result of this unforeseen development.”
Nduilo added that the airline remained committed to upholding safety standards.
