Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has disclosed that she hawked bottles of olive oil and refreshment drinks at the deliverance programmes organised by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM).
Ajibade, who captained the Super Falcons to win the just concluded Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, revealed this at MFM’s monthly programme, ‘Power Must Change Hands’, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
Speaking while giving testimony at the programme, the 26-year-old forward recalled how she hawked “olive oil, kunu, and zobo drinks” at the MFM church premises before her football career.
“I was once one of those young girls out there hawking olive oil, kunu, and zobo drinks in most of the deliverance programmes, but today, I give glory to God,” Ajibade, who was named the best player of the just concluded WAFCON, said.

She further disclosed that her mother raised her as a member of MFM, adding that the church “is the only place that I know” when in difficult situations.
Ajibade said: “I want to thank my mother for bringing us up in this church. We were taught welfare, the Word, and how to worship.
“I want to give glory to God because the journey to this point has never been easy.
“When I was in my club, this last season has been very difficult. It was a very difficult season for me. During May’s ‘Power Must Change Hands’, I was here quickly for a deliverance programme and also joined the ‘Power Must Change Hands’ programme. Then I went back to my club to round up for the season.
“It was really tough, I was going through injuries. I was going through pain and so many sorts of things. But I just came here quickly because this is the only place that I know.”
