The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouq Umar, will on February 5, 2012, confer a traditional title on the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, in Katsina State.
This was disclosed in an invitation card seen by The Star on Saturday.
According to the invitation card, the Emir will confer a traditional title of “Dan Amanar Daura” on Amaechi at his palace in Daura, Katsina State.
Amaechi, who was first appointed minister in 2015, was reappointed by President Buhari in 2019.
The former Rivers State Governor, who was the Director-General of Buhari’s presidential campaign in 2015 and 2019, has been rumoured to be interested in the presidency in 2023.
