Former Rivers State Governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, has said he would campaign for President Bola Tinubu if petrol sells for N600 per litre.
Amaechi made the statement while speaking about the impact of the Tinubu administration’s policies on fuel prices and the economy.
He said he would personally visit a filling station to verify the pump price, challenging those who doubted him to accompany him with a camera.
“Don’t bother about my views, I will go tomorrow morning to a petrol station myself so that you can see. If fuel has come down to 600 I will campaign for President Tinubu,” Amaechi said.
He reiterated his position, saying he would withdraw from the 2027 presidential contest as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate and support Tinubu if petrol sells for N600.
“Tomorrow, if you are doubtful, come with your camera tomorrow in the morning and I will go to a filling station and I will buy fuel. If it comes down to this thing, I, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, will withdraw as the vice-presidential candidate of Atiku and campaign for President Tinubu if it has come down,” he said.
