Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan delivered another dominant performance on Sunday, winning the women’s 100m hurdles at the Paris Diamond League with a season-best-equalling time of 12.28 seconds.

Amusan, 29, crossed the finish line comfortably ahead of the field at the Stade Charléty, underlining her impressive form ahead of the major championships.

American hurdler Grace Stark finished second in 12.38 seconds, while fellow American Johnson claimed third place in 12.39 seconds.

The winning time matched Amusan’s season’s best, which she previously recorded at the Xiamen and Rabat Diamond League meetings earlier this year.

The Paris Diamond League was held under a compressed schedule after a severe heatwave swept across France over the weekend.

The extreme weather prompted organisers to cancel all lower-tier youth and regional club events while ensuring the elite competition went ahead.
