Anglican priest to CMSN members: Serve God diligently

An Anglican priest of the Anglican Communion, The Ven Kelvin Tapere, has urged members of the Christ Morning Star, Lagos State Chapter, to serve God diligently and in holiness.

The admonition was contained in his sermon delivered at the Investiture/Inauguration ceremony of new executive members and Patrons and Matrons of the Society held at All Saints Church in the Oshodi area of Lagos on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

The cleric said: “For God who has called you to serve in this capacity, I urge you to serve him diliigently and pray ceaselessly for the church and our leaders.

“Your society has been a shining example among societies in the Church of Nigeria, therefore you must continue to lead by example.

“Our church and our leaders needs of prayers so l enjoin you to continue to pray for us.”

To the newly inaugurated Patrons and Matrons, Tapere urged them to nurture society and make it a leading society in the Church of Nigeria.

The Patrons and Matrons are Otunba Stephen K Ogundipe, Dr Benjamin O Fatogun, Mrs Adesumbo Saka, Mrs Gladys Talabi, Princess Ronke Ogunmaja, and Sir Babafemi Osoba

The newly sworn in executive members are Star Olusegun Sobowale, President; Star Adeola Odofin 1st vice; Star Mrs Ronke Ogedengbe, 2nd vice; Star Mrs Lucy Ajayi, Treasurer; Star Mrs Bolanle Hammed, Secretary; Star Samuel Sanwoolu, asst secretary; Star Anietie Inamiyang, financial secretary; and Star Mrs Abisola Arowolo, social secretary.

Others included Star Tunji Oguntuase, media
/Publicity secretary; Star Olumide Sodamola, welfare officer 1; Star Mrs Omolara Akhigbe, welfare officer 2; Star Yakubu Aliu Auditor; Star Olawunmi Olukolu; Star Adetokunbo Oso, ex-officio officer; and Star Olugbenga Ogunwole, ex-officio member.
