APC chair urges North to back Tinubu in 2027

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has called on Northern voters to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying the region has benefited significantly from the administration’s projects and policies.

Speaking at a solidarity rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Yilwatda praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing it as inclusive and development-focused. He cited ongoing infrastructure such as highways, rail lines, dams, and irrigation schemes, which he said would boost agriculture, trade, and economic opportunities across the North.

“Supporting the President is a must for the North because of what he has done and what he will still do for the region,” he said.

The APC chair also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for infrastructure development across the state’s 13 local government areas, including roads, schools, hospitals and an airport.

Governor Sule, in his remarks, attributed improvements in the state to increased federal allocations and Tinubu’s policy direction, while the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, urged party members to mobilise grassroots support for the President.

The rally also witnessed the defection of several politicians into the APC, as party leaders pledged to strengthen support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
