APC flags raised at Kano govt house ahead of Gov Yusuf’s return

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday saw its official flags hoisted at the Kano State Government House ahead of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s formal return to the party.

Governor Yusuf is set to officially register as an APC member on Monday, alongside 22 state lawmakers, eight House of Representatives members, and 44 local government chairmen.

In a statement on Sunday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, said the decision to rejoin the APC was informed by “prevailing realities of governance, national cohesion, and development.”

The statement also confirmed that Governor Yusuf would formally launch the APC electronic membership registration exercise in Kano on Monday.
