APC: N’Central gets National Chair, S’West clinches Secretary

The Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the zoning of the National Chairman of the party to the North-Central.

The South-West clinched the National Secretary of the party. It will also produce the National Youth Leader of the ruling party.

The CECPC approved the zoning formula as recommended by the Committee on Zoning at its regular meeting on Tuesday March 8.

The zoning formula is for the March 26 National Convention of the ruling party.

By the recommendation, North-East and South-East will produce the two Deputy National Chairmen.

The South-South will produce National Vice Chairman (South-South), National Publicity Secretary and National Women Leader.

Apart from the Deputy National Chairman, the South-East will produce National Vice Chairman (South-East), National Treasurer and National Welfare Secretary.

Also, the North-East in addition to producing the Deputy National Chairman will have the National Auditor and National Vice Chairman (North-East).

By the arrangement, the North-West will produce National Vice Chairman (North-West), National Legal Adviser, National Organising Secretary and National Financial Secretary

In a statement issued by the Director of Publicity of the APC, Salisu Na’inna Ɗambatta, the zonal representatives on the CECPC are expected to coordinate the process in each zones.
