The Osun State Police Command has released the Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Anjorin, arrested over shooting at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Ilesa on Saturday.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the development on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Ojelabi said: “The commissioner has been released. He was released at about 1:00 p.m on bail.

“The Amotekun operative arrested alongside the commissioner and the gun found with him (the Amotekun operative) are still with us.
