he National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for July 24 to elect a new national chairman.
This follows the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, with Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Dalori, stepping in as the acting national chairman.
Speaking to journalists on Monday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter, said the NEC meeting would be used to nominate and elect a new chairman. He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already been notified of the planned meeting.
