APC suspends SGF Mustapha over non-performance in 2023 polls

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, for losing his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the just concluded presidential and governorship elections.

The APC said Mustapha was suspended over his failure to contribute to the victory of the party’s presidential and governorship candidates in the elections.

The Chairman of APC, Gwadabawa Ward, Mu’azu Kabiru, who announced the suspension in Yola, the Adamawa State capital on Wednesday, said the SGF was not committed to the ruling party’s victory during the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

Kabiru stated that the Ward executives decided to suspend Mustapha indefinitely over a series of complaints against him.

He stressed that individuals should not take themselves above the party that gave them a platform.
