The Arewa Community Support Group in Lagos has donated foodstuffs and other items to the Babe-El-Salam Orphanage Home situated at GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The Leader and Director-General of the Arewa group, Muhammad Maikano Lawal, who led the presentation of the items to the Home on Sunday, April 16, said the gesture was in the spirit of the Ramadan time, the period he said calls for extension of kindness to the people, particular the less privileged like the motherless children.

Lawal stated that the gesture was also in the spirit of the successful election the country went through safely without rancour and acrimony.
Receiving the gift items from the donors were Chief Imam of the Home, Hassan Tahir and his assistant, Nurudeen Bakare, who thanked the donors and prayed the Almighty Allah to bless them and replenish their pockets.
The 33-year-old Motherless Home was established in 1990.
