The Federal High Court in Abuja has finally announced date to deliver judgement in the trial of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on alleged terrorism offences.

The presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, on Friday, announced that the judgement will be delivered on November 20, 2025.

Court stands down proceedings on Nnamdi Kanu’s trial

The judge fixed the date after Kanu’s defence was foreclosed following his insistence that he would not enter his defence under a repealed law.

Justice Omotosho said: “This court has given opportunity to the defendant under Section 36 as requires by the constitution and I will not allow this to continue.

“It is based on this, without hesitation, that I say that the defendant has waived his right.”
