Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has clinched the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the party’s nationwide primaries.
Atiku secured a total of 1,846,370 votes out of 2,527,977 ballots cast by party members during the exercise held across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, finished second with 504,117 votes, while Mohammed Hayatu-Deen polled 177,120 votes to place third.
