Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday met behind closed doors with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd.), at his private residence in Minna, the Niger State capital.
Atiku arrived at the hilltop residence shortly after 1 p.m. and proceeded directly into a private session with Babangida. Sources said the meeting was focused on consultations over key national issues, including electoral reforms, electronic transmission of election results, proposed tax laws and other policy matters.
About 40 minutes later, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, joined the discussion.
One of the participants is expected to brief journalists at the end of the meeting.
