Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted the Head of Kasuwar Daji village in the Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Ibrahim Sarkin Fada.
It was gathered that Fada was kidnapped by bandits in his residence in the early hours of Thursday, April 27.
An indigene of the area, Audu Mohammed, disclosed that the bandits who were in large numbers stormed Kasuwar Daji village and went straight to the village head’s house where they abducted him and took him to an unknown destination.

Bello said the bandits fired many gunshots in order to frighten the residents of the village who attempted to rescue the village head.
“I was in my house when I heard gunshots at about 2:30 to 3:00 a.m. last Thursday.
“I was called later at about 4 a.m. by a friend who told me that our district head was abducted,” the resident told Punch.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Police Command has yet to speak on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
