The Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Samaila Bagudo, who was abducted by bandits, has regained freedom from captivity.
The Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris, confirmed the release of the deputy speaker on Saturday night.
Idris disclosed that Bagudo, who was kidnapped on October 31, has been released and reunited with his family.
Bandits kidnap Kebbi Deputy Speaker
The lawmaker was abducted from his hometown of Bagudo, the headquarters of Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, shortly after observing Isha’i prayers.
His abduction was confirmed by the Kebbi State Police Command, saying efforts were ongoing to secure his release.
