The Benue State Police Command says it has commenced an investigation into the body of a yet-to-be-identified young woman found in a refuse dump in Makurdi, the state capital.
The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, said this in a statement on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
It was gathered that the body of the woman was tied, put in a sack, and left at a refuse dump around Iorapuu Adai Street, Nyima Hudco Quarters, Makurdi.

Anene noted: “We have already opened an investigation into the matter.
“The identity of the victim is still unknown.”
The police spokesperson added that the command would do everything to unravel the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
