Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has criticised Nigerians who have recently turned against luxury lifestyle influencer Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as KC Luxury, following his arrest over an alleged cocaine trafficking case.

Bobrisky, in a series of posts shared on social media, accused some Nigerians of hypocrisy for publicly criticising KC Luxury after his arrest despite allegedly associating closely with him before the development.

“Nigerians are the biggest hypocrites,” Bobrisky wrote, arguing that many people who now have negative things to say about the influencer previously celebrated and supported him.

He said he was not a friend or follower of KC Luxury but questioned the decision by people who had allegedly maintained close relationships with him to distance themselves after his arrest.

“Many of you were busy kissing his ass before his arrest, but the moment he got arrested, you suddenly found your voices and opinions,” he said.

In another post, Bobrisky said he would not abandon a friend simply because of an alleged offence, stressing that friendship did not necessarily mean endorsing wrongdoing.

“I will never deny any of my friends regardless of his/her offence. I will condemn his act but still stand tall for him or her,” he wrote.

He also criticised those who, according to him, were now distancing themselves from KC Luxury to protect their own reputations.

The comments followed reports that KC Luxury was arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in connection with an alleged international cocaine trafficking network.

Reports indicate that the suspect was arrested at a Lagos airport while preparing to travel to Paris, following the seizure of cocaine allegedly valued at nearly $28 million and destined for the United Kingdom.

Bobrisky did not dispute the allegations against KC Luxury in his posts. Rather, he maintained that people should not pretend to have never known or supported someone simply because the person was facing criminal allegations.

He further argued that people should be willing to condemn alleged wrongdoing while allowing due process to take its course.

KC Luxury has not publicly commented on the allegations against him, according to reports.
