The Rivers State Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke, has resigned from his position.
The latest development is coming barely a few hours after the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN), resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet.
Woke was the Chief of Staff during the administration of the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, the incumbent Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Fubara, on assumption of office, appointed Woke, an ally of Wike, as the Commissioner for Special Duties.
He, however, confirmed his resignation from Fubara’s cabinet on Thursday evening.
“Yes, I have resigned as the Commissioner for Special Duties today,” he told Punch.
When asked if there was any reason for his resignation, Woke said: “When you get the soft copy of my letter of resignation, you will get the reason.”
