A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has nullified the arrest and detention of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The presiding judge, Justice Bello Kawu, made the declaration on Friday, July 14, 2023, following an application by Emefiele, who was arrested by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) after his suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
The DSS, on Thursday, said it has charged Emefiele to court, following a ruling from an FCT High Court which ordered the secret police to charge Emefiele to court within one week or release him on bail.
