Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his retirement from international football after a record-breaking career with the national team.
Ronaldo announced his retirement via a video posted on his social media accounts on Thursday.
“Portugal will always be in me,” the Al Nassr star captioned the video.
The 41-year-old forward, who has played 234 times for Portugal and scored 146 goals, fell out with national coach Jorge Jesus last month after he refused to use him in a Nations League match. Ronaldo immediately left the team camp.
