Breaking: Tinubu returns from Kenya

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after participating in the 5th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union (AU) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Tinubu was received at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday, July 17, 2023, by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma; and other government officials.

The president left Abuja on Saturday for the AU meeting with other African leaders in Nairobi.

The Star had reported that President Tinubu, at the AU meeting, called on African leaders to respect democracy, rule of law, and ensure political stability.
