Buhari appoints Sani Manyahaya as Ede Poly Rector

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr Sani Manyahaya as the sixth substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.

This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal.

Lawal stated that the appointment letter was signed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.

The spokesperson of the polytechnic noted that the appointment took effect from November 21, 2022, adding that it is for a single term of five years in line with the Federal Polytechnic Act 2019 as amended.

Sani Manyahaya, who is the immediate past Deputy Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, attended Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, where he obtained B.Eng. in Computer Engineering in 1994, and Msc in Telecommunications Engineering in 2008 at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Ph.D in Wireless and Control Engineering in 2004, at the same institution

He joined the service of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, in 1996 and served in various capacities before he became Chief Lecturer at the institution.

Lawal, however, enjoined all staff and students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, to give the new Rector all the necessary assistance and cooperation to enable him carry out his duty effectively and efficiently.
