Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has become the first Nigerian artist to have five different projects appear on the prestigious Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
His latest release, No Sign of Weakness—his eighth studio project—debuted at No. 200 after recording 8,800 units sold in its opening week in the United States. This continues a remarkable streak for Burna Boy, whose last five albums have all charted on Billboard 200, cementing his place as one of the most commercially successful African artists in the U.S.
The Grammy-winning artist also recently earned his third RIAA platinum plaque for his hit single On The Low, joining YE and Last Last as his certified platinum records. This milestone brings his total RIAA certifications to seven, further solidifying his legacy among Nigeria’s most decorated musical exports.
Burna Boy previously won a Grammy Award for Best Global Album with Twice As Tall, a critically acclaimed project that marked a turning point in his global recognition.
His new album, No Sign of Weakness, features a diverse lineup of international collaborators including rock legend Mick Jagger, American rapper Travis Scott, country artist Shaboozey, and Belgian star Stromae.
To promote the album, Burna Boy is set to embark on a North American tour, with scheduled performances across several major U.S. cities.
