Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for January.
The Premier League announced this on Friday.
Carrick took charge from Ruben Amorim on January 13 and impressively guided United to back-to-back wins over title-chasers Manchester City and Arsenal.
The former United midfielder kicked off his tenure at Old Trafford with a 2-0 derby win over Pep Guardiola’s side, followed by a stunning 3-2 victory at Premier League leaders Arsenal to inflict a first home defeat of the season on the Gunners.
Carrick has made an unbeaten start in the dugout at Old Trafford since being appointed until the end of the season.

He becomes the second temporary United boss to win the award after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Carrick becomes the first English boss since April 2024 to win the award, when Sean Dyche was in charge at Everton.
The 44-year-old manager topped a four-man shortlist to beat former Nottingham Forest boss Dyche, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, and Chelsea’s Liam Rosenior to the award after votes from fans were combined with those of a panel of experts.
