The Just Friends Club of Nigeria (JFCN) has elected Chief Amaechi Aloke, a retired director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, as its new President.
Aloke, who will serve a three-year term with the option of renewal for one additional term, was elected alongside other members of the executive committee during the club’s election held on Saturday, in Abuja.
Other elected officers include Mrs. Maria Cardillo (Vice President), Mr. Nonso Okechukwu (General Secretary), Adaeze Oputah (Assistant General Secretary), Mr. Ehimare Uwaifoh (Legal Adviser), Mr. Eric Nwafor (Financial Secretary), Paul Ikpokilli (Social Secretary), Ngozi John-Uyah (Public Relations Officer), and Mr. Benevolent Okpogor (Treasurer).
The new executive will be sworn in on November 28, 2025, at the club’s annual end-of-year party in Abuja. Chief Aloke succeeds Mr. Fred Onoriode Ohwahwa, who served two terms as president.
In his acceptance remarks, Chief Aloke expressed gratitude to members for entrusting him with the leadership of the Abuja-based social club, pledging to build on the achievements of his predecessor.
“I am honored to take on this leadership role.
“The outgoing president and his team have achieved so much for the club. While it may be difficult to surpass their record, we are committed to steering the club forward and reaching new heights,” he said.
Founded to promote friendship, cultural exchange, and community service, JFCN has grown into a vibrant social organization with members across the country.
