Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani
Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Ibrahim T Muhammad, has commended Governor Uba Sani for coming tops on the Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies(CIAPS) Governance Performance Index(CGPI) report, which ranked Kaduna state as number one.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commissioner noted that the report is a vindication of Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive and transparent leadership style which is anchored on consultations.
The Commissioner further said that the report is a vote of confidence in the Governor’s two years in office and it provides a scale to measure his achievements.
Alhaji Ibrahim called on the people of Kaduna State to support Governor Uba Sani by living in peace and performing their civic responsibilities as well as being their neighbhour’s keepers.
It will be recalled that Kaduna State Government has been ranked number one state in Nigeria in terms of governance performance index, amongst the 10 top performing sub-nationals with a 73% score.
The ranking was contained in the CGPI latest report, is being widely circulated on various professional platforms.
According to the report, Delta and Anambra states came second and third with 70% and 65.5% respectively, in the top ten performers category of the report.
The CGPI report which ranked Kaduna State first in its Governance Performance Index, usually evaluates states’ performance in areas like e-governance, transparency, and accountability.
