Community solicits Singer Portable’s assistance for roads renovation

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has disclosed that the members of his community have written a letter to him soliciting his support for development project.

The singer said the members of his community requested for his assistance to renovate their roads in a letter pasted in front of the apartment he just secured.

Portable, who has been making waves with his song, ‘Zazoo Zeh’, disclosed the request via a video he shared on his Instagram page.

He captioned the video: “ZAzuu Community don bring development project come, you get money you no fit help your community abeg who you help?”

Displaying a document outlining the road projects and their estimated sums, the popular musician promised to help the inhabitants of his locality.

He said: “Ladies and gentlemen, I woke up to a letter in front of the house I just rented.

“They said they want to see me. The community has brought a letter for me to renovate their roads and I will do it.

“How much is the estimated sum? It’s very little. They asked me to pick just one but I will do everything.

“If you have money and can’t help your community, of what use it is?

“Respect youths and vote for them,” Portable said.
