The Federal High Court in Ibadan has sentenced one Sunday Akande to four years in prison for dealing in 360 grams of cannabis and two grams of methamphetamine.
Justice Nkeonye Maha convicted Akande after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) presented evidence linking him to the offences.
The judge ruled that Akande would serve four years for each of the two counts, to run concurrently, and ordered that the seized drugs be destroyed.
She also warned the convict against returning to crime after completing his sentence.
Earlier, NDLEA counsel Daniel Otunla told the court that Akande was arrested in January at the Gate area of Ibadan following intelligence reports about his drug dealing activities.
Otunla said the offences contravened Section 11(c) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
