The Chief Magistrates Court sitting in the Okitipupa area of Ondo State on Friday remanded a 25-year-old man, Ayo Ajibade, in Okitipupa Correctional Centre for allegedly stealing four tubers of yam valued at N10,000.
The Chief Magistrate, Mayowa Olanipekun, remanded Ajibade until January 29, 2026, pending the determination of his judgement, after pleading guilty to a two-count charge bordering on felony and stealing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Ayodeji Omoyeigha, told the court that the defendant and one other at large conspired to commit felony at Kiribo in Igbekebo on October 25, 2025.

Omoyeigha disclosed that the 25-year-old man and one other at large entered the farm belonging to one Olorunjuwon Igbasan at about 5:00 a.m. and stole the tubers of yam.
Omoyeigha added that the offence contravenes and is punishable under Sections 516 and 390 (9), Criminal Code, Cap.37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.
