Court sends Emefiele to Kuje prison

Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has been remanded in Kuje correctional centre until November 22.

Justice Hamza Muazu of an Abuja High Court gave the order on Friday, November 17, 2023.

The judge also adjourned until November 22 when Emefiele’s bail application will be heard.

The trial commences on November 28.

Emefiele was arraigned on a six-count charges before justice Muazu. He pleaded guilty to the charges
