A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in the Badagry area of Lagos State has remanded a 50-year-old man, Ibrahim Jubril, in Awarjigoh correctional facility for stealing fowls worth N900,000.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A Afolabi, ordered the remand of Jubril after he pleaded guilty to stealing the fowls belonging to the complainant, Dorcas Kusimo, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Afolabi adjourned the case until February 10 for sentencing.

Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Clement Okuiomose, told the court that Jubril committed the offence at Kusimo Way, Age-Mowo in the Badagry area of Lagos State on January 21.
Okuiomose said the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by causing pandemonium.
He added that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 168 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
