The Nigeria Customs Service has declared one of its officers, Svc. No. 57765 DSC IG Mohammed, a deserter from duty, effective 1 April 2026.
In a public notice, the service said the officer had been absent from duty “without leave, permission or lawful authority.”
It said he is no longer authorised to represent, transact or undertake any official business on its behalf.
The service advised members of the public to take note of the development and exercise due diligence in any purported official engagement with him.
The notice, signed “Management, Nigeria Customs Service,” carried a photograph of the officer in uniform. It did not state where he was last posted, the circumstances of his absence, or what action the service would take.
