The remains of renowned Nigerian business mogul and elder statesman, Aminu Dantata, have arrived in Madina, Saudi Arabia, ahead of his burial slated for Tuesday.
Family spokesperson, Mustapha Junaidu, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday morning, noting that the delegation accompanying the body had landed safely and was finalising preparations for the Janazah (funeral prayer).
“The aircraft landed in Madina. We are now heading to the city for further preparations of the funeral prayer,” he said.
He added that the funeral prayer would take place after the Asr (late afternoon) prayer, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Dantata, aged 94, died on Friday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
